Project Home

Our CEO, Loree Jones Brown, recently engaged in a productive partner visit with Project HOME Philly, a valued member of our community network. The visit served as an opportunity to foster deeper collaboration and explore innovative ways to enhance our collective impact. By joining forces and leveraging our respective strengths, we aim to better serve our communities and address the multifaceted challenges they face. This collaborative approach reflects our commitment to unity, empowerment, and meaningful change. Together, we are dedicated to creating positive, lasting outcomes for those we serve.

Mizpah SDA Church

If you visit the Philabundance Hunger Relief Center in South Philadelphia on any given Tuesday or Friday morning, you’ll find a host of trucks, vans, and cars gathering along Pattison Avenue. On those set days throughout the year, our Community Partner representatives line up early, some even before the sun comes up, to pick up fresh, nutritious food from our “HUB.” Items include fresh fruits and vegetables, dairy products, and meats. Our wonderful warehouse staff and volunteers welcome the drivers starting 8am to help them load their respective vehicles for transport back to their community distribution sites.

"This is so important because the need is so great. We serve a lot of senior citizens and they’re on fixed incomes. They’re so grateful to receive the food that Philabundance supplies us with. It is my honor, it is my duty, to do this a long as God gives me breath in my body, we’re going to continue to do this."

Family Promise Montco

Formerly known as Inter-Faith Housing Alliance, Family Promise Montco focuses on providing housing and food for residents of Montgomery County who are facing food insecurity. In April 2022, we joined them for the ribbon cutting of their newly renovated and expanded pantry in Roslyn, PA. Residing on the campus of Salem Baptist Church, Family Promise is open to neighbors in need 4 days of the week and accepts donations as well. When neighbors drive up to the pantry, they are greeted by friendly volunteers who help them shop for items they need and assist them while loading their car.

"When I first started working here at Family Promise, I knew I wanted to use my time to give back to my community. Being able to put smiles on people’s faces when they come here to pick up food on a weekly basis has been really great and humbling for me."

"The food that we receive from Philabundance has a great impact on our ability to serve all of our clients. Not only do they provide us with the food resources, but also the guidance and best practices. They’ve really helped us grow this facility."

YMCA
Delaware County

We’re pleased to work closely with the Community YMCA of Eastern Delaware County (CYEDC) to carry on their core values of Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility, as we collaboratively help people of all ages, backgrounds, and walks of life to receive nutritious food.

CYEDC’s efforts to distribute nutritious food began during the onset of the pandemic, and leadership recognized how great the need became for thousands of individuals and families in the Upper Darby, PA region.

“I was a young, single mother with 3 kids. We had a struggle to get food. I feel very strongly about people with children who don’t have food. I feel like I’m helping them get through something that I went through. I always want to give to others because people gave to me.”
